6 million followers for Mohanlal in Twitter!
Superstar Mohanlal is one of the most active Malayali celebrities in social medias. He makes good use of the platform for promoting films — both featuring him and his colleagues and also sharing important socio-political information. He is also one of the very few actors from Malayalam to have an active Twitter handle. The superstar’s followers count has just reached a whopping figure of 6 million. Mahesh Babu (9.2M), Dhanush (9M) and Samantha (7.9M) are the only other actors from the South to have more number of followers.
As the nation is fighting valiantly to stop the spread of the Corona virus, Mohanlal has been doing his best to spread awareness through his social media handles. With such huge number or followers, an information shared through his handle can easily reach out to a large number of people.
Personally also Mohanlal has been doing his best to help the government. He had recently donated a sum of Rs 50 lakhs to the Kerala Chief Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund. Last day, he also took part in an video interaction session with doctors, nurses and other staff members who have been advised to stay in isolation for 14 days. Health Minister KK Shailaja thanked Mohanlal for spending time with them and boosting up their morale.
