63rd National Film Awards to be declared on 28th March

As per reports, 63rd National Film Awards will be declared on the coming 28th March, Monday. The juries for feature, non-feature and other award selection is going through the final stages of required processes.  33 films from Malayalam had come to the competition and almost 10 films were entered in the final round of award selection as per reports. The total number of 33 films is a record as well for Malayalam cinema. This time an award will be given to the best movie friendly state or Union Territory area, for the first time in National award history.

Ramesh Sippy is the jury chairman for feature film awards and two malayalees also part of the jury. They are director Shyama Prasad and John Mathew Mathan. Almost 308 films had come for participating in the award race and 4 regional juries had selected best 35 from that 308 films. Out of this 35 films 10 are from Malayalam which contesting in final round.

22 Malayalam films were participating in the non-feature film category as well. The films that came for competing in the feature film category from Malayalam is Ozhivu Divasathe Kali, Kadhantharam, Pathemari, Lukka Chuppi, Chayam Pooshiya Veedu, Naropanishathu, Kadha Parayum Muthachan, Ben, Roopantharam, Pathrosinte Pramananhal, Ithinumappuram, Unarvu, Oru Vadakkan Selfie, Arani-The Fire Inside, Su Su Sudhi Vathmeekam, Kumbasaram, Idavappathi, Kattum Mazhayum, Velutha Rathrikal, Premam, Moha Valayam, Malettam, Valiya Chirakulla Pakshikal, Amoeba, Njan Samvidhanam Cheyyum, Neena, Ilam Veyil, Ennu Ninte Moideen, Moondru Thuruthu, Machuka, Nammukkore Aakasham, Nirnnayakam, Crayons.
