Aaha: Indrajith Sukumaran’s next is a tug of war based film
Indrajith Sukumaran is having a memorable 2019. After delivering an excellent performance in the brief-yet-impactful role in ‘Lucifer’, the actor is now getting applause for his character Baburaj in ‘Virus’. Amidst a host of other big stars, Indrajith has easily managed to make a mark for himself. This year, he has some other interesting films coming up. One such project has been announced today through superstar Mohanlal’s official social media handle.
The movie titled as ‘Aaha’ is apparently a sports based flick. Kerala’s own sport ‘tug of war’ aka ‘vadamvali’ is the centre of attraction here. The story is said to be inspired from a famous team ‘Aaha Neeloor’ from Pala, which had won an astonishing 72 matches out of the 73 played in the 2008 season.
‘Aaha’ has a relatively new set of names behind the camera. Debutant Bibin Paul Samuel is editing and directing the movie. It is scripted by Tobit Chirayath and produced by Prem Abraham of Zsa Zsa Productions. Cinematographer Rahul Balachandran, music directors Sayanora Philip and Shiyad Kabeer (background score) are also part of the technical crew. More details will be revealed in the coming days.
Indrajith is currently busy shooting for ‘Thuramukham’ directed by Rajeev Ravi. Kiran Prabhakaran’s ‘Thakkol’ and ‘Lucifer’ editor Samjith Muhammed’s maiden directorial ‘Thalanarizha’ are also coming up for the actor. He has also finished his portions for a Tamil web series based on the life of late actress-turned-politician J Jayalalithaa. Gautham Menon is directing the series that has Indrajith play the role of MGR. The series is being planned to be aired from August.
