Actor Kalabhavan Mani passed away

Popular Malayalam actor Kalabhavan Mani had passed away few hours ago. Kalabhavan Mani was 45 years old and he was suffering with liver disease and was admitted in a Private Hospital in Kochi two days before. He was in treatment for sometimes and that’s why he was not very active recently in film field. The reason for his quick death was only known after the postmortem and it will be out tomorrow as per the hospital sources. Kalabhavan Mani had started as a mimicry artist and singer. Later he made his debut in Mollywood through the film named Samudayam. He had went on to act in more than 200 films in his career and acted in Tamil and Kannada languages as well.

He had the fortune to act with almost all the lead stars in South India. He began his career as a comedy artist. Then he became hero and also played Villain roles. For performance in the film Vasanthiyum Lakshmiyum Pinne Njanum, he had got Special Jury award at National film awards and Special Jury award at Kerala State Film awards as well.
His major films are Sallapam (which gave him the break in the early part of his career), Samoohyapadam, Kalyanan Sougandhikam, Dilliwala Raja Kumaran, Summer in Bethlahem, Karumadi Kuttan, Vasanthiyum Lakshmiyum Pinne Njanum, Ben Johnson, Chotta Mumbai, Maya Ponman, Bhootha Kannadi, The Car, Achamma Kuttiyude Achayan, Oneman show, Rakshasa Rajavu, Kuberan, Kanmashi, Vettam etc. His last film was Loka Samastha as well. He had great combination films with actors like Dileep and Jayaram and his combination films with Jayaram are very much popular.

His wife’s name is Dr. Nimmy and had daughter as well named Sree Lakshmy. Kalabahavan Mani was a multi-faceted talent who made us happy through his mimicry, acting and singing capabilities. His songs were so much popular in Kerala and he had sung in films too apart from the so called “Naadan Paattukal”.
