After Baahubali, it’s Rajinikanth’s big budget movie
It is already known that superstar Rajinikanth’s next after Shankar’s sci-fi thriller 2.0, will be with Kabali director Pa Ranjith. The superstar’s son-in-law and actor Dhanush will be producing this movie under his banner Wunderbar Films.
The movie is all set to go on floors on May 28. The art department has erected a massive set in Chennai, that resembles the slums and various other areas of Mumbai. Pete Draper, the VFX technician who was worked in movies like Life Of Pi and the Baahubali franchise is handling the VFX works in the Rajinikanth movie. His team will be arriving soon to start works for this big budget film.
This upcoming movie, tentatively titled as Rajinikanth 161, is majorly set in Chennai and Mumbai. After completing the first schedule in Chennai, they will be travelling to the North to shoot the remaining portions.
Apart from Rajinikanth, none of the cast have yet been finalized. There are reports that Bollywood actress Vidya Balan has been approached to play the female lead but she is yet to sign the dotted lines. Santhosh Narayanan, who also handled the music department in Kabali, is the composer for this movie. More details regarding the movie will be updated soon.
