After ‘Dangal’, Aamir Khan is back to rewrite box-office records with ‘Thugs of Hindostan’
After a two-year-long gap, Aamir Khan is back, this time with the company of Amitabh Bachchan. The two superstars are teaming up for the first time in ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ (ToH), an epic film directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya. The movie which is an adaptation of the 1839 novel ‘Confessions of a Thug’ has Aamir, Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and ‘Dangal’ fame Fathima Sana Sheikh in the lead roles. ToH is gearing up for a worldwide release on November 8.
As the release date is nearing, the makers have kick-started the promotions. Last day, the official logo was released. Today, Amitabh Bachchan’s character was introduced with a motion poster. He plays the role of Khudabaksh, who is the commander of the thugs. Amitabh Bachchan looks the part perfectly with sword in his hand, an armour on his body, a turban on his head. He is seen as a commander of a massive ship as he gets ready for war. The movie is set in the 18th century and has pirates in the narrative.
Cinephiles across the country are eagerly looking forward to the revelation of Aamir Khan’s look. The actor who is known to undergo massive physical transformations must’ve done something extraordinary this time as well. Aamir is said to be playing the role of a pirate, for which he had got multiple piercings on his nose and ears. During the shoot, Aamir was seen in a nearly unrecognizable look with with long hair and unkempt beard.
Thugs of Hindostan is being made on a huge budget by Aditya Chopra’s Yash Raj Films. The movie is expected to create waves at the box office. Aamir Khan is known for his phenomenal success rate, and with senior Bachchan for company this time, records are likely to be rewritten.
