Ahar: Here’s the first look poster of Manju Warrier’s next
The title and first look poster of Manju Warrier’s new film has been released online. Titled as ‘Ahar’ (Kayattam), the film is being directed by award-winning filmmaker Sanal Kumar Sasidharan. Manju has also produced the film along with Shaji Mathew and Aruna Mathew. It is a story set completely in the backdrop of a Himalayan expedition.
It was during the shoot of this film that Manju Warrier and crew got stranded in the flood-hit remote areas of Himachal Pradesh. The crew got stranded in Chhattru, an isolated village located on the road to Spiti Valley from Manali, after a series of flash floods and landslides had blocked the roads. Timely intervention from the Kerala government, Union Ministry and Himachal Pradesh government helped the crew return back to safety.

‘Ahar’ is Manju Warrier’s first film with Sanal, who has previously helmed acclaimed films like ‘Orallppokkam’, ‘Ozhivudhivasathe Kali’ and ‘S Durga’. The director is currently in Venice for the world premiere of his film ‘Chola’, which had Nimisha and Joju George in the lead roles. ‘Chola’ is only the third Malayalam film to be screened at Venice Film Festival.
