Angamaly Diaries fame Appani Sarath turns scriptwriter!
After making a stellar debut with ‘Angamaly Diaries’, Appani Sarath went on to star in films like ‘Velipadinte Pusthakam’, ‘Pokkiri Simon’ and ‘Paipin Chuvattile Pranayam’. He then made brief appearances in Tamil films ‘Chekka Chivantha Vaanam’ and ‘Sandakozhi 2’. He also starred in the Zee5 Original web series ‘Auto Shankar’.
Sarath is turning a scriptwriter with a new film titled ‘Charam’. Debutant Jomy Joseph is directing the film, the title poster of which has been released online. Besides penning the story and screenplay, Sarath will also be seen playing the lead role. Sinoj Varghese, Selva Pandian and Rajesh Sharma will be essaying the other major roles.
‘Charam’ has dialogues written by Manu S Plavila. Cinematographer Nithin Dhavan, editor Nikhil Sreekumar and music director Leela L Girish Kuttan form the core technical team. Director Jomy himself is producing the film under the banner of St. Mariya Productions. The makers are planning to start shooting by the first week of September.
