‘Baahubali’ fame Nora Fatehi performs an item dance in Kayamkulam Kochunni
The team of Kayamkulam Kochunni has been shooting in Goa for the past couple of weeks. Recently, Nivin Pauly got injured while shooting a fight sequence and was advised rest by the doctors. But much to the surprise of the crew members, the actor has already resumed shooting.
The art department have erected a huge set to shoot a song sequence. Moroccan-Canadian dancer Nora Fatehi is performing in this song, which is reportedly an ‘item dance’. Nora has performed similar numbers in movies like Oopiri, Rocky Handsome, Temper etc. But it was the song ‘Manohari’ from SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Beginning that made her hugely popular among the youth.
Nora Fatehi’s dance sequence in Kayamkulam Kochunni is currently being shot in Goa. After wrapping it up by March 20, the team will be having a schedule break. They will soon be heading to Sri Lanka to shoot some major portions. Apparently, the makers have planned to shoot in the island nation for its lush green areas and forests which reminisces parts of Kerala of the pre-independence era.
The movie scripted by the National award winning duo Bobby-Sanjay, is based on the life of legendary highwayman Kochunni, who was active in 19th century in the Travancore region. While Nivin plays Kochunni’s role, Mohanlal appears in a cameo role as Ithikkara Pakki. Sunny Wayne, Priya Anand, Babu Antony and Kannada actress Priyanka Thimmesh are also part of the cast. Gokulam Gopalan of Sri Gokulam Films is producing this big budget movie.
