Bairavaa received piracy threat from Tamilrockers team
Piracy group Tamilrockers, who have been giving sleepless nights to South Indian filmmakers and producers have now openly threatened to release the pirated copy of Bairavaa on the release day itself. The highly anticipated movie is scheduled to release tomorrow.
The team made their threat through their official Facebook page. They have earlier also challenged many producers including superstar Rajinikanth’s Kabali’s producer Kalaipuli S Thanu during the release of the movie.
The website is popular for releasing Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil and English movies censor copies and pirated copies on the very next day of the release. Recently, Mohanlal’s Pulimurugan was a victim of the group’s attack after they relased the pirated copy of the movie through their website.
3 admins of the team, Satheesh, Shreeni and Bhuvanesh were arrested last month in Coimbatore. The anti-piracy cell tracked down the culprits who uploaded the pirated versions of Tamil, Telugu, English, Malayalam and other language films on their site. According to the police statements, the site is functioning from a server in Srilanka and the owners could not be nabbed as they were uploading movies from servers in many foreign countries.
The constant change in their domain names since the beginning of this year to avoid getting caught is also notable. Though the website was blocked by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) several times, they used different domain names each time the site got blocked.
