Cinema is Kalidas’ passion and he doesn’t mind waiting for two years to be part of a good film: Jayaram
Kalidas Jayaram’s Poomaram is one of the most awaited movies of the year. After postponing the release multiple times, the movie is finally slated to hit screens this coming March. Malayali audience are eagerly looking forward to see how Kalidas performs as lead actor on screen. As a child actor, Kalidas has won the National award and now its time for him to prove his potential as a lead actor.
In a recent interview, Jayaram spoke high of his son and his love for cinema. He said, “Cinema has always been his passion. He lives and breathes cinema. He wants to be part of good movies and doesn’t mind waiting for one or two years to do that. I believe that if he is sincere about his wishes and is dedicated, God will grant him his wish.”
Abrid Shine directorial Poomaram marks Kalidas Jayaram’s Malayalam debut film as a lead actor. The movie has been in the making for nearly two years now. Shoot for the movie commenced in 2016 and was supposed to hit screens by February last year. But shoot kept delaying due to some unknown reasons. The movie’s long delay has even become a topic of trolls in social medias.
Despite being under the wraps for such long time, the movie is still remembered by the public thanks to the trolls and the two hit tracks – ‘Njanum Njanumentalum’ and ‘Kadavathoru Thoni’. Poomaram is a campus based entertainer which also stars Kunchacko Boban, Meera Jasmine and Gayathri Suresh in supporting actors.
