Covid-19: Mahesh Babu donates Rs 75 lakhs to Telugu film industry workers!

Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu had earlier donated Rs 1 crore to the Chief Minister Relief fund of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana governments. The star has now provided another Rs 25 lakhs to the workers of Telugu film industry who have been severely hit by the lock down. He also requested his fellow actors to contribute to the cause.

Mahesh Babu’s tweet reads,

The lockdown situation adversely impacts the lives of daily wage cine workers. Will be contributing Rs. 25 lakhs towards Corona crisis charity for TFI workers. Requesting all fellow actors to come forward and make their contributions in these testing times 🙏🙏 #StayHomeStaySafe

Telugu film stars have been very generous with their contributions to help battle the Corona virus outbreak. Prabhas made the biggest contribution by donating a whopping sum of Rs 4 crores, of which Rs 3 crore goes to the PM relief fund and Rs 50 lakh each to the governments of the two Telugu-speaking states.

Allu Arjun declared that he would be donating Rs 1.25 crore to the governments of Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Pawan Kalyan contributed Rs 1 crore to Andhra and Telangana governments and another Rs 1 crore to the PM relief fund. Ram Charan donated Rs 70 lakhs while his father Chiranjeevi offered Rs 1 crore as financial aid for the film industry workers. Jr NTR has also provided a sum of Rs 75 lakhs. 25 lakhs each will be given to the governments of Telengana and Andhra Pradesh while another 25 lakhs will be provided to the workers.
