Driving Licence becomes the third biggest hit in Prithviraj’s career
Prithviraj starrer ‘Driving Licence’ is set to cross its first month of theatrical run soon. The film hit screens on December 20 amidst a slew of other Christmas releases but still emerged successfully as a true box office winner. As per trade experts, it is now the third biggest hit in Prithviraj’s career after ‘Ennu Ninte Moideen’ and ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’. The makers are yet to release the box office figures officially. Prithviraj Productions and Listin Stephen’s Magic Frames have jointly produced the film.
‘Driving Licence’ is directed by Lal Jr and scripted by Sachy. Critics rated the film as a well-made commercial entertainer and unanimously praised the performance of its two lead actors – Prithviraj and Suraj Venjaramoodu. The film has a very interesting storyline centred around a film star and his ardent fan, who is a motor vehicle inspector. As things turn out, the two lock horns and they constantly try to outsmart each other. It is their clash of ego and power abuse that take the film forward.
Since the film has an universal plot, several top stars from other languages are in talks to acquire the remake rights.
