Driving Licence overseas rights sold for a huge price; Highest among Prithviraj’s films!
‘Driving Licence’ directed by Jean Paul Lal aka Lal Jr is one of the most awaited films among the Christmas releases this year. Prithviraj Sukumaran and Suraj Venjaramoodu play the lead roles. ‘Anarkali’ director Sachy has scripted the film, which looks highly promising with vibes of a proper commercial entertainer. Riding on the expectations, the film’s overseas rights have been sold for a huge price. Phars Films Co Llc have bagged the deal for Rs 2.55 crore, which is said to be the highest for a Prithviraj starrer.
‘Driving Licence’ is about a superstar and his fan. The film has Prithviraj playing the role a cine star and Suraj Venjaramoodu essays the part of a vehicle inspector, who is also a big fan. It is the dynamics between the star and his fan that takes the film forward. Deepti Sati of ‘Neena’ fame and Miya George play the two female leads. Deepti is paired with Prithviraj while Miya plays Suraj’s wife.
On the technical front, DOP Alex J Pulickal, music director duo Yakzan Gary Perera-Neha Nair and editor Ratheesh Raj are part of the core team. Prithviraj Productions is jointly producing the film with Listin Stephen’s Magic Frames. It is slated to release worldwide on December 20.
