Dulquer Salmaan is a promising actor with a lot of quality : Mukesh
Ace filmmaker Sathyan Anthikad’s latest outing Jomonte Suvisheshangal with Dulquer Salmaan in the lead is getting mixed response from the audience. This family entertainer written by Dr Iqbal Kuttippuram deals with an endearing father-son relationship.
Veteran actor Mukesh and Dulquer Salmaan played the father-son duo on screen. One of the major highlights of the movie is their on screen chemistry. The two actors, working together for the first time complemented each other well both in the humour scenes as well as the emotional ones.
Mukesh’s character Vincent is a wealthy businessman who at one point loses all his properties. The character demanded a lot of maturity in handling the emotional scenes and Mukesh was upto the task giving one of his finest performance till date. The actor opened up about his role and acting with Dulquer in a recent interview.
“When someone who was once a hero decides to take up a father role, normally there will be many questions. There should be a proper reason for that. I can do whatever role that is offered to me, but when people ask about why I did that role, I should have a proper reason. I was sure that no one will ask such a question for Vincent’s character in Jomonte Suvisheshangal. The role had al lot of depth with enough scope for performance”, he said.
About working with Dulquer Salmaan, Mukesh said, “he is a promising actor with a lot of quality. He has a charm of his own. Like Mammootty, Dulquer is also very humorous and laughs out loud even at small jokes.”
Apart from Mukesh and Dulquer, the movie also featured Anupama Parameswaran, Kollywood actress Aishwarya Rajesh, Madhubala, Vinu Mohan, Innocent and Muthumani in major supporting roles.
Jomonte Suvisheshangal is produced by Sethu Manarkkad under the banner Full Moon Cinemas.
