Malayalam film actress Parvathy, who had found herself a place in many a hearts through her recent release Take Off openly admits that she had faced sexual assaults and abuse from her co-workers in cinema. She had opened up her mind to a news channel recently.
“I don’t want to reveal their names over here and want them to be punished. I heard the news that an actress was molested in her car while I was at a shooting set. I was ready to enact myself in a joyous scene, I knew the mental and physical situations she had undergone then because even I too had gone through such situations. The situation in which one is not aware about the happenings around her and is completely helpless. The people behind are the real threat to our society, the cold blooded criminals. I am never a victim to such a crime, I am a surviver who won over them through positive thinking” she continued.
“I was assaulted by my co-workers in cinema itself, and I never want them to be published. I would tell to all my sister’s that such crimes often happen in our society and never feel that you are the only one affected.” she added.
The actress had done a much acclaimed performance in the latest Mahesh Narayanan movie Take Off. She has also completed filming Roshni Dinaker’s My Story alongside Prithviraj Sukumaran. The Shankar Ramakrishnan penned movie is awaiting a release date.
