First song from 9 to be released tomorrow
As 9 gets ready to hit screens on February 7, the makers have decided to release the first song from the movie. The romantic song ‘Akale’ featuring lead actors Prithviraj Sukumaran and Mamta Mohandas will be out on social medias tomorrow morning. This much awaited movie is directed by Jenuse Mohamed, who had earlier helmed the rom-com ‘100 Days of Love’.
9, according to the makers, is the first of its kind Malayalam film with elements of horror, psychological thriller and science fiction. The promos released so far reaffirms the claims. According to Prithviraj, it is hard to brand the label the movie to one particular genre. It has several layers and concepts but at the core of which is an emotional father-son bonding.
9 is basically about a turbulent relationship of a father and son. The story unfolds in the backdrop of a massive global event that lasts nine days. What happens over this course of period forms the plot. Prithviraj is playing the role of Albert Lewis and child actor Alok plays his son, Adam. The cast also includes Prakash Raj, Mamta Mohandas, Wamiqa Gabbi, Tony Luke, Rahul Madhav and Adil Ibrahim.
9 marks Prithviraj’s entry to production. His newly launched banner Prithviraj Productions is producing the movie jointly with Sony Pictures International Productions.
