Forensic set for re-release in theatres in Dubai
After close to two months of lockdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic, theatres in Dubai are opening. Malayalam film ‘Forensic’ is re-releasing there from May 27. The makers have shared the list of theatres on their official social media handle.
‘Forensic’ starring Tovino Thomas was having an excellent run at the box office when theatres had to shut down. Earlier this month, the film had its television premier in Asianet. OTT giant Amazon Prime has brought the film’s streaming rights.
‘Forensic’ directed by Akhil Paul and Anas Khan is a crime-investigative thriller centred around a series of abduction and killing of girl children. The film has Tovino essaying the lead role of a medico legal advisor. Mamta Mohandas plays an equally important character of an IPS officer who heads the investigation. Reba Monica John, Renji Panicker, Prathap Pothen, Rony David, Dhanesh Anand, Anwar Shereef, Srikanth Murali, Ginu John and many others are also part of the supporting cast.
‘Forensic’ had grossed around Rs 20 from the worldwide box office before it had to be pulled out from theatres. The film is produced by Navis Xaviour and Siju Mathew under the banner of Juvis Productions and Raju Malliath’s Ragam Movies.
