Forrest Gump remake: Lal Singh Chaddha title logo released
As we already know, Bollywood’s Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan is starring in the official remake of classic American film ‘Forrest Gump’. The remake titled as ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ will be directed by Advait Chandan of ‘Secret Superstar’ fame. Veteran ctor Atul Kulkarni has adapted the movie, which has started rolling. The makers have now released a title logo motion poster along with which they have confirmed that the film will be hitting screens for Christmas 2020.
‘Forrest Gump’ starring Tom Hanks is a Hollywood classic that got released in 1994. It is a comedy drama based on the novel of the same name by Winston Groom. The film was directed by Robert Zemeckis and written by Eric Roth. It bagged six Academy Awards for best picture, best director, best actor, best adapted screenplay, best visual effects and best film editing.
Apparently, the Hindi version, ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ has been adapated to suit the sensibilities of the Indian audience. Kareena Kapoor will be seen as the female lead. Tamil star Vijay Sethupathi has also been approached to play a crucial role in the film. Official announcement regarding the cast is yet to be made. Pritam will be handling the music department.
Aamir Khan is producing ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ jointly with Viacom 18 Motion Productions.
