Gautham Menon in Fahadh Faasil’s Trance!!
Fahadh Faasil is currently working in the second schedule of his upcoming movie ‘Trance’. The movie marks the comeback of hit maker Anwar Rasheed, as a director, after a gap of five long years. He last directed the segment Aamy in the anthology film, Anchu Sundharikal. Trance is highly anticipated by the Malayali cinephiles ever since it was announced last year. The first leg of shoot was completed in Kanyakumari and later in Mumbai.
Fahadh is currently sporting a rugged look with unkempt hair and thick beard for this ongoing schedule. Soubin Shahir, Chemban Vinod Jose, Vinayakan, Dileesh Pothan and Sreenath Bhasi are part of the movie’s supporting cast. Premam director Alphonse Puthren was initially cast in a prominent role but certain unconfirmed reports suggest that he has opted and is now being replaced by Gautham Menon.
The ace filmmaker has previously acted in quite a few Tamil films, including some of his own. He has often expressed his wish to work in the Malayalam industry. He was earlier supposed to act in Nivin Pauly’s Jacobinte Swargarajyam but it didn’t materialize. He eventually made his maiden appearance in a Malayalam movie with Joshy Thomas’ yet-to-be-released Naam. An official confirmation regarding the director being a part of Trance is still awaited.
Trance, scripted by newbie Vincent Vadakkan has Oscar award winner Resul Pookkutty handling the sound design while Amal Neerad wields the camera. Debutant Jackson Vijayan is in charge of the music department. Director Anwar Rasheed himself is funding this movie under his banner Anwar Rasheed Entertainment. The movie is expected to hit screens for this year’s Onam season.
