Great demand for Mohanlal’s Oppam remake rights even before release
Mohanlal-Priyadarshan film Oppam had finished shooting and now the film is in its post-production stage. As per reports, the film will release on September 8, as Onam release of Mohanlal this year. Mohanlal playing a visually challenged person in this movie and it is a crime thriller kind of movie.
Priyadarshan himself wrote the screenplay of this film based on the story by Govind Vijayan, a newcomer. Antony Perumbavoor had produced this movie under the banner of Ashirvad Cinemas and as per the latest reports there is a great demand for the remake rights of this film from South Indian Film industries and from Bollywood.
Priyadarshan himself told to media that offers are pouring in from Bollywood and other film industries to get the remake rights of this movie. The Hindi version of this film may be directed by Priyadarshan himself and Tamil producers are also lined up to get the remake rights of this film in Tamil. Priyadarshan said that Mohanlal will not reprise his role in the Hindi version of this movie.
