Happy to see Tovino Thomas’s growth as an actor/star : Prithviraj Sukumaran
Tovino Thomas’s latest release Oru Mexican Aparatha has opened to huge numbers in the box office. The movie, released on March 3 has got an excellent response from the audience especially from the youth.
Oru Mexican Aparatha, directed by debutant Tom Emmatty is a campus political drama featuring Tovino Thomas, Neeraj Madhav, Roopesh Peethambaran and Gayathri Suresh in major roles.
Prithviraj Sukumaran has congratulated the team of Oru Mexican Aparatha for their success. The actor has written in his Facebook page that he is very happy to see the growth of Tovino Thomas. His post in Facebook reads,
“..And a big congrats to the team of “Oru Mexican Apaaratha” for the big success. Tovino..super happy for you brother..and thrilled to see your growth as an actor/star!!! Way to go!!! ?”
Tovino Thomas and Prithviraj have acted together in three movies including the latest release Ezra. Tovino Thomas played a brief cameo ACP Shafeer, an investigative officer in Ezra. He has also shared screen space with Prithvi in 7th Day and Ennu Ninte Moideen.
Tovino won rave reviews for his portrayal of Perumpparambil Appu in Ennu Ninte Moideen (ENM) Interestingly, it was Prithviraj who suggested Tovino for the role after being impressed with his performance in 7th Day. ENM was a big break in Tovino’s career.
Recently, Prithviraj had also written high about Lijo Jose Pellissery’s Angamaly Diaries, which was released alongside OMA. It is heartening to see a leading star like Prithviraj encouraging youngsters wholeheartedly.
