Bollywood filmmaker Bejoy Nambiar is making his South Indian this year debut with a Tamil-Malayalam bilingual movie titled as Solo. Dulquer Salmaan is playing the lead in this movie which also stars other well known actors like Dino Morea, Suhasini, Nasser, Ann Augustine, Arti Venkatesh, Dhansika, Prakash Belawadi, Neha Sharma etc.

Bejoy Nambiar, a former associate of Mani Ratnam, is noted for his films like Shaitan, David and Wazir. The director/producer is of the opinion that cinema has no barriers. He is trying to create a platform through which cine-lovers in Mumbai can get to know where good Tamil/Malayalam films are playing. Angamaly Diaries was the first movie to be screened there. Following suit is Dileesh Pothan’s Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum

Bejoy Nambiar, in a recent interview, while talking about the latest movies he watched, was all praise for Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum and Fahadh Faasil. He is also impressed with the two film old Dileesh Pothan and remarked he is someone to watch out for.

However, Bejoy Nambiar feels that Dileesh Pothan’s debut directorial Maheshinte Prathikaram was a better movie. He is quoted saying, “The first film for any director is special, and in Dileesh’s case, it was phenomenal. I loved it so much and I still think Maheshinte Prathikaaram is better than Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum. And, the second movie is always the one that gives a sense of the director’s real potential. That is what Dileesh proved with Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum. It is such a clutter-breaker. Not a regular film at all. I thoroughly enjoyed it.”

Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum starring Fahadh Faasil, Suraj Venjaramoodu, debutante Nimisha Sajayan and Alencier Ley Lopez recently crossed the 50 days theatrical run. The movie is produced by Sandeep Senan and Aneesh M Thomas under the banner of Urvashi Theatres.
