Indrans reacts to the Kerala state film awards 2016 !
The Kerala state film awards 2016 controversies are coming one after other from the moment the awards are declared by the honorable minister Thiruvanjoor Radhakrishnan, Yesterday. We saw many problems rising related to that award selection by the jury. The first one was that, it was Jayasurya who had deserved that best actor award more than Dulquer Salmaan, to whom the award has been given. Social media reacted very strongly against that selection.
Then came the issue between music director Ramesh Narayan and Prithviraj, as the music director had openly come out and said to media that his award was a real reply to Prithviraj, as the actor had insulted him in a big way while making of Ennu Ninte Moideen had started. Then come the protest of Kollywood director AR Murugados who said that the awards are not at all fair as they ignored the film Premam. The latest on this list is actor Indran’s reaction to the awards. Indrans said that, the winners of state award got selected looking at their colour, size and status in film field.

Indrans was there till the last round of best actor award selection. He said that he wasn’t expecting the award because there were many big names in the race too. There were many other criteria for the jury to give awards more than the performance of an actor. He said that there was nobody to market an actor like him and because of that he not expected to win the award. Even though actors like Suraj Venjaranmood and Salim Kumar had won the award at national level, they were ignored at the state level. They proved their talent but still they were treated only like comedians and there has been deliberate efforts to push them down.
He said even though he did not get award, he is happy that has been able to become a part of good movies like Munroe Thuruthu and Amoeba. In both the films he had given sterling performance and that performance had helped him to compete in the race for best actor award.
