Irfan Pathan appreciates the makers of Virus
Aashiq Abu’s ‘Virus’ is one of the most awaited Malayalam movies of the year. The movie is based on last year’s Nipah outbreak that shook the state of Kerala. Its trailer was released recently and has got everyone talking. The three-minute long trailer gives glimpses of the horrific situation that the people of Kozhikode had to endure. The makers are trying to tell the world a story about how the Malayali community stood united to tackle the virus. Nipah virus had took 17 lives last year.
Cricketer Irfan Pathan shared the trailer link on his social media handle last day and praised the makers for telling the story of the selfless souls. He has tweeted,

‘Virus’ is scripted by Muhsin Parari of ‘Sudani From Nigeria’ fame and Suhas-Sharfu, the writers of ‘Varathan’. The movie boasts of a huge star cast that comprises of Revathy, Tovino Thomas, Parvathy, Asif Ali, Kunchacko Boban, Indrajith Sukumaran, Rima Kallingal, Joju George, Poornima Indrajith, Remya Nambeesan, Madonna Sebastian, Soubin Shahir, Rahman, Zakariya, Dileesh Pothan, Unnimaya Prasad, Savitri Sreedharan, Sarasa Balussery, Shebin Benson, Jinu Joseph, Basil Joseph, Indrans, Sharafudheen, Sreenath Bhasi, Senthil Krishna, Sudheesh, Srikanth Murali, Binu Pappu and Vettukili Prakash.
‘Virus’ also has a strong technical crew comprising of cinematographers Rajeev Ravi and Shyju Khalid, music director Sushin Shyam and editor Saiju Sreedharan. Aashiq Abu and Rima Kallingal are producing the movie under the banner of OPM. It is slated to hit screens on June 7.
