Jeethu Joseph clarifies that reports about Pranav Mohanlal movie were false
Ever since Mohanlal annouced his son Pranav Mohanlal’s debut movie as a lead actor with director Jeethu Joseph, there have been a lot of specualtions regarding the genre of the movie. Jeethu had informed that the movie will be an action thriller on the lines of his superhit movie Memories.
However, that paved way for theories that the Pranav Mohanlal starrer will be about an youngster chasing a serial killer. In a recent interview, the director has now denied all the reports. The director is yet to to finish the scripting of the film.
Jeethu Joseph, apparently has taken more time to work on this script as his last two movies, Life of Josutty and Oozham could not fare well at the box office. Also, there is a baggage of expectations surrounding the movie as it marks the much awaited debut of superstar Mohanlal’s son as a lead actor.
This yet to be titled movie will be made on budget of around 10 crores. Mohanlal’s home production banner Aashirvad Cinemas will be funding this movie.
Pranav meanwhile, has been undergoing training in Parkour for playing his part in the movie. Parkour is a form of acrobatic physical training that involves crossing obstacles by running, climbing, jumping, rolling and swinging.
Parkour techniques have been used in action scenes in many Hollywood movies like Casino Royale, Bourne Ultimatum, District 13 and Prince of Persia. Mohanlal himself had earlier revealed this bit of information in an interview. He had said that, the basics of Parkour would be easier for Pranav than for most people as he is used to gymnastics, skydiving and rock climbing.
The team are planning to start shooting by June this year. The director is yet will finalise the rest of the casting and he will start working on that only after he completes the first draft.
