Kabali in 200 crore club even before release
Super Star Rajinikanth starrer film named Kabali directed by Pa Renjith is all set to hit the screens all over the world on July 1 as per latest reports. The teaser of the film had crossed 2 crore viewers in YouTube from 28 days and creating new records in its pre-release business as well.
As reports suggests, the film had done a business around 200 crore rupees even before its release. The distribution rights of the film in every Indian state has been sold for record price already. In Karnataka, producer Rockline Venkitesh has bought the rights of the film for the record price ever in the history of Tamil Cinema as per reports.
Think Music had bought the audio rights of the film for a record amount as well. Reports were coming in that the Telugu rights for the film also set a new record in Tamil Cinema history and Kabali is really doing it great before the release. Even though the figures are unknown, we heard that in every South Indian states, the distribution rights had set a new record. Two popular Bollywood distributors has been camping in Chennai for a while to get the distribution rights of the film in North India. A Chinese company also approached the makers to buy the distribution rights of the film in China.
The film had got more than 40% of its production cost back from selling the rights outside Tamil Nadu. A Mumbai base company offering 16 crores for the rights to distribute the film in Chenkalpettu region alone in Tamil Nadu. The flick will release in 5000 screens worldwide and the release date will be announced once the censoring is over.
