Kalabhavan Shajon to make his debut as a director and Prithviraj roped in to play the lead
Kalabhavan Shajon is one of the finest actor we have in our industry. Kalabhavan Shajon came in to Malayalam cinema as a comedy artist and later he had done Villain characters and supporting roles as well. The comedy character in My Boss directed by Jeethu Joseph had made people to notice him. His combination with Dileep was superb in that film.
But the film that made him popular all over Kerala was Drishyam, the biggest hit in Mollywood, starred by Mohanlal and directed by Jeethu Joseph. His negative character in the movie, named Constable Sahadevan was a sensational success among the audience and it was Drishyam which had become the turning point in his career.

Now, he is all set to direct a movie, which will be his maiden directorial venture. Prithviraj Sukuamaran has been roped in to play the male lead in this movie, which will start rolling from next year. He had finished the scripting and got the dates of Pritviraj for the movie. But because of the busy schedule of Prithviraj, they had pushed the filming of this movie to next year. It will be a family entertainer, says Kalabhavan Shajon.
Kalabhavan Shajon is now getting appreciation for his characters in movies like Oppam and Welcome to Central Jail which released in this Onam season.
