Kuttanpillayude Sivarathri all set to hit screens as it gets a clean U certificate
National award winner Suraj Venjaramoodu’s next outing as a lead actor, ‘Kuttanpillayude Sivarathri’, is gearing up for release. The movie has been censored with a clean U certificate and is now all set to hit screens on May 11, Friday. Jeans Markose of ‘Angels’ fame is directing this movie and newcomer Joselet Joseph has scripted it.
Kuttanpillayude Sivarathri is touted to be a realistic family drama. Suraj Venjaramoodu plays the lead role of Plachottil Kuttan Pillai, a 58-year-old senior police constable. The movie’s promo songs and trailer was met with good response from the viewers in social medias.
The core plot of Kuttanpillayude Sivarathri is centred around a series of events that occur in Kuttan Pillai’s house when his relatives – his children, their spouses and extended family – converge at his humble home to attend the annual Shiva Rathri festival. Biju Sopanam of ‘Uppum Mulakum’ fame and Srinda Arhaan play a couple in the movie.
Mithun Ramesh, Srikant Murali, Kochu Preman, Poojappura Radhakrishnan, Rajesh Manarkad and James Eliyas are also part of the supporting cast. Fazil Nazer has handled the cinematography and Shibish K Chandran is in charge of the edits. The movie marks the debut of playback singer Sayanora Philip as a music director. The ‘Chakku Pattu’ composed by Sayanora has already emerged as a hit.
Kuttanpillayude Sivarathri is produced by Raji Nandakumar under the banner of Alanghat Productions.
