Loham becomes the fastest film to gross over 50 lakhs from Ernakulam

Mohanlal’s Loham continues to break records at box office with huge collections and yesterday it broke another record. Loham had grossed over 50 lakhs from Ernakulam center alone and it is the fastest film to do so in Mollywood. The stats from Ernakulam city is not fully calculated but it is sure that it comes close to almost 60 lakhs from the 4 days of theatrical run at Ernakulam city premises.

As per the stats from the Kochi multiplexes the flick had registered one of the all-time best opening weekend collection by amassing rupees 44.55 lakhs from its 4 days run. The official confirmation will come soon regarding if it broke Premam’s weekend collection record at Multiplexes in Kochi which was 43-44 lakhs in its first weekend. It had started off with almost 52 shows in Kochi city altogether including multiplexes and other theaters in Kochi city area. That was also a record for a Malayalam film to have 52 shows in a single city premise alone.

The film had grossed over 14 lakhs from its first day from multiplexes at Ernakulam and later got steady collection above 9 lakhs from next two days. Yesterday it got close to 11 lakhs as it was a holiday and thus altogether it had grossed 43.55 lakhs from multiplexes at Kochi setting a new milestone there. Ernakulam Kavitha theater and other theaters in the city premises shows great occupancy in these 4 days with many houseful shows. The total weekend gross will be updated as soon as we get the official confirmation.

If we add the collection from multiplexes from Kochi to other theater collections from the same area it will surely come close to the 60 lakh mark and it is a record. If Kavitha theater gets a houseful show it will get 86850 rupees and as per reports from the 16 shows played in Kavitha in those 4 days of Loham’s theatrical run it had totally got above 10 lakhs. It seems like this Mohanlal movie is not slowing down in the case of breaking and setting new records.
