Mammootty and Dulquer Salmaan against Premam piracy

The piracy issue of the Alphonse Puthren flick Premam starred by Nivin Pauly and financed by Anwar Rasheed is making havocs in Mollywood as the investigation is progressing. There has been lot of names being dragged in to this issue knowingly or unknowingly and many of the news were fake as well. It all started when a pirated copy of Premam spread through internet and the most shocking this was that it bears the water mark of censor copy in it. That had really affected the film’s progress in box office and it really went down and out due to piracy, rain and also because of the holy Ramzan month.

But the financer of the film Anwar Rasheed made the issue a kind of big with his resignation from the film association and he accused them of no help at all in this case. But FEFKA and producers association came forward with clarity that how they tried their best to help and support Anwar Rasheed even though Anwar had given no complaint at all in these associations. Police also said that Anwar Rasheed till now sendonly an email complaint and nothing else. He and Alphonse Puthren did not even come to give more details and evidence in this case even after Anti-Piracy cell requested them to come and give evidence.

Now the police had ordered them strictly that they have to come before the Anti-Piracy cell for an interrogation. They had got strong clues that the print was leaked by one of the crew members itself and not from any studios like Vismaya Max or Four Frames or even from Censor board.

Meanwhile Anwar Rasheed and Premam team is getting great support from the film industry and many people like Vineeth Sreenivasan, producer Santhosh Kottayi, Jude Antony Joseph etc lend their support and the latest on the list was Dulquer Salmaan and Mammootty. Both Mammootty and Dulquer Salmaan posted on their respective Facebook pages that they support Anwar Rasheed and Premam team in this fight against piracy.

Dulquer Salmaan says that piracy is a theft and Mammootty said that every film needs its due. Interestingly the names of Mammootty and Dulquer also were mentioned in the social media circles in this piracy issue as well even though they were without any proofs.
