Manikandan Achari to share screen space with Vijay Sethupathi once again after Petta
Manikandan Achari, who made a remarkable entry to the industry with ‘Kammattipaadam’, has not been getting enough meaty roles in Malayalam of late. However, the actor struck jackpot last year as he was roped in for ‘Petta’, in which he got to act alongside stars like Rajinikanth, Vijay Sethupathi and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. He appears throughout the movie and his performance got noted.
Manikandan has now been signed for Vijay Sethupathi’s next as well. Last day, the actor shared location stills from the movie’s sets. Seenu Ramasamy is directing the movie which has been titled as ‘Maamanithan’. Vijay Sethupathi plays an auto driver’s role in the movie and from the location stills we can make out that Manikandan also one.
Director Seenu Ramasamy and Vijay Sethupathi have previously worked together in the National award winning film ‘Thenmerku Paruvakaatru’, ‘Dharmadurai’ and the yet-to-be released ‘Idam Porul Yeval’. Cinephiles are expecting to see another quality film from this successful actor-director combo.
Composer Yuvan Shankar Raja is producing ‘Maamanithan’. Interestingly, the movie will have music scored by both Yuvan and his father, the legendary Ilayaraaja.
