Manju Warrier to play one of the female leads in Marakkar – Arabikadalinte Simham
Mohanlal-Priyadarashan team’s ambitious project, Marakkar – Arabikadalinte Simham is getting ready to start rolling in November.Pre-production works including casting process is currently in the final phase. Almost all the major actors have been confirmed. Latest reports suggest that Manju Warrier will be playing one of the heroines in the movie. If it turns out to be true, this will be her eighth outing with Mohanlal after sharing screen space with him in films like Aaraam Thampuran, Kanmadam, Villain etc. The duo will also be seen together in Odiyan and Lucifer.
Priyadarshan is assembling a massive star cast for Marakkar. Pranav Mohanlal, Prabhu, Arjun, Suneil Shetty, Madhu, Renji Panicker, Siddique and Nedumudi Venu are already confirmed in the movie. The makers are also in talks with South cinema’s current sensation Keerthy Suresh, but an official word is yet to be made. Besides the aforementioned, Arabic and Chinese actors will also be part of the cast.
Marakkar is an epic project based on the life of Kunjali Marakkar IV. The story is set in the 15th century and will be shot mostly in the backdrop of sea. Massive set works are currently progressing in Ramoji Rao, Film City in Hyderabad. Multiple National award winner Sabub Cyril is handling the production design. Aashirvad Cinema, Moonshot Entertainment and Confident Group are jointly investing a whopping Rs 100 crores for this project.
