Kanal is one of the much awaited flick of Mohanlal this year and it has finished its shooting last day. The film had schedules at Kochi, Hyerabad and Gulf countries like Doha and Qatar. Mohanlal playing the character named John David in this flick and along with him popular actors like Anoop Menon, Athul Kulkarni, Pratap Pothen also playing pivotal roles in this flick. It is said to be a film with a thriller mood and the makers said that they had tried to tell the story in a realistic mood. M Padma Kumar had directed the film based on the screen play written by Suresh Babu. They had done a super hit movie with Mohanlal in the year 2010 named Shikkar.
