Motorcycle Diaries to run with Nivin Pauly, Narain and Kunchacko Boban

Motorcycle Diaries was one of the prestigious projects announced by Rajesh Pillai some years before with Kunchacko Boban and Nivin Pauly in the lead. But later it had said that the project has been shelved due to some unknown reasons. Some said it was due to the similarity of its story with the film Neelakasham Pacha Kadal Chuvanna Bhoomi made by Sameer Thahir with Dulquer Salmaan and Sunny Wayne in the lead. Rajesh Pillai’s latest work was with Nivin Pauly and Amala Paul in Mili which was released on January 2015 .

Rajesh Pillai also had a project with Aashirvad Cinemas which was a Mohanlal starrer. It will be scripted by Murali Gopi and Rajesh himself said that it is not a dropped project and it is in its pipeline. The project is delaying due to the prior commitments of Murali Gopi and Mohanlal. Kunchacko Boban also said to be a part of that film. Weeks before we heard a news that Motorcycle Diaries is dropped and Rajesh Pillai is doing a film with Kunchacko Boban and Jayasurya along with Manju Warrier as well. That film said to be a psychological thriller and it said to start the shoot very soon.

But the latest unconfirmed reports says that the so called dropped project named Motorcycle Diaries is all set to start after Rajesh’s current project and this time his star cast is a little bigger than the earlier mentioned one. Along with Nivin Pauly and Kunchacko Boban, actor Narain is also said to play a key role in the movie. Narain will be coming back to Malayalam after a break as he is doing some Tamil films. Earlier it was Narain who had done the role in Lal Jose directorial film named Classmates which was at first offered to Kunchacko Boban. But he was not able to accept it because of some other commitments. That character had become the turning point in Narain’s career as well.

Kunchacko Boban was the hero of Rajesh Pillai’s debut film Hridayathil Sookshikkan which was a failure unfortunately at the box office. But Rajesh had come back strongly with the classical success of Traffic in 2011 and made his mark as a filmmaker in Mollywood.
