Mythri, Kannada film of Mohanlal won Karnataka state award

Mohanlal had made his mark in Kannada film industry as well last year with the film named Mythri. The film Mythri in which he played an important character along with Puneet Raj Kumar and Atul Kulkarni had won the Karnataka State award for the third best film of last year. The film is directed by BM Giri Raj and it had won great critical appreciation from all around.

Mythri was a big box office success as well. The Malayalam version of the film also released here. Many people was of the opinion that Mythri was one of the best films that graced Sandalwood in recent years. NS Raj Kumar had produced this movie and Malayalam artists like Late Kalabhavan Mani also played a role in it. He played the role of the antagonist in the movie. Mohanlal has got great appreciation for his performance in the movie from there.

The award for best Kannada film of last year was given to the film Thithi which had won the national award for best regional film as well. It was directed by Raam Reddy. The award for Second Best Film was given to Marikondavaru directed by K Shiva Rudraiah.

Best actor award was given to Vijay Raghavendra for his performance in the movie Shivayogi Sri Puttayyajja.
