Nayanthara looks divine in the first look poster of Mookuthi Amman
We had earlier reported about RJ Balaji making his directorial debut with a film titled ‘Mookuthi Amman’. He is directing the film jointly with NJ Saravanan. Lady superstar Nayanthara plays the lead role in the film, first look poster of which was released online last day. The actress appears in a divine avatar in the poster. Dr Isari K Ganesh of Vels International is producing the film.

Back in the 80s and 90s, there was a separate fan base for devotional films among the Tamil audience. ‘Mookuthi Amman’ is said to be a satirical take on the same. RJ Balaji has scripted the film and is also acting in it. Last year, he wrote and starred in ‘LKG’, which was also a satire on the current political scenario in the country.
‘Mookuthi Amman’ also stars Induja and Urvashi in major roles. Dinesh Krishnan is the DOP and music department is handled by Girishh. The makers have confirmed that the film will be hitting screens in May during the summer holidays.
