Nivin Pauly’s Sakhavu wrapped up
Nivin Pauly’s upcoming political drama Sakhavu, directed by National award winner Siddhartha Siva has finally been wrapped up. The team will now move into the post production works to ensure a smooth release by the end of March coinciding with the Vishu season.
Nivin Pauly is playing the character Krishna Kumar, a student political leader of the Left front. The actor has pinned high hopes on the movie. The actor had allotted bulk dates for the movie’s shoot. He had earlier informed that it will be an intense movie that will stay etched with the audience even for a long time.
According to Nivin, Sakhavu is not just another political drama. It will have equal doses of humour, romance and machismo. The movie was initially planned as a Christmas release but shooting got temporarily stalled due to financial crisis caused by the demonetisation.
Aparna Gopinath, Gayathri Suresh and Kollywood actress Aishwarya Rajesh are playing the female leads in the movie. Aparna Gopinath is playing Neeti, a student activist from JNU Delhi. Sreenivasan, Maniyan Pillai Raju, Joju George and many others are also part of the movie.
Popular Kollywood cinematographer George C Williams who has wielded the camera in movies like Theri, Kaththi and Raja Rani the DOP while Prashanth Pillai is handling the music department. The movie is being produced by B Rakesh under the banner Universal Cinema.
