Dhruva Natchathiram, the much awaited Vikram starrer directed by Gautham Menon is nearing its completion. The movie, initially planned with Suriya and later with Jayam Ravi eventually reached Vikram’s hands. Shoot commenced eariler this year and the team has been shooting in several locations across US and Europe.

Dhruva Natchathiram is a spy thriller and it is being made on international standards. Vikram is reportedly playing a RAW agent in the film. He is sporting a dashing salt and pepper look in the film. Apart from the high octane chases and stunts, Dhruva Natchathiram also promises to have a beautiful romantic tale; in a typical Gautham Menon style.

The director recently shared two photos from the movie’d location featuring Vikram and Ritu Varma. Along with the stills, he has written,

‘A book would describe what happened between us as a ‘whirlwind romance’, says Anupama about herself & Dhruv.

So presumably Ritu Varma plays the role of Anupama in the film. Initially, the character was supposed to be done by Anu Emmanuel but she later opted out due to date issues.

The team recently wrapped up the schedule in Abu Dhabi. Further shoot has been planned in countries like Bulgaria, Slovenia and Turkey. Predominant portions of the film were shot in the US and Coonor in Tamil Nadu.

Dhurva Natachathiram boasts of a stellar star cast that includes Aishwarya Rajesh, Parthiban, Simran, Raadhika Sarathkumar, Divyadarshini aka DD, Sathish, Munna Simon and Vamsi among others. International stunt coordinators have been roped in to choreograph the high octane stunts in the movie.

Harris Jayaraj is handling the music department. Malayali cinematographer Jomon T John was the DOP for the first schedule but he later opted out due to other commitments. Ace cameraman Ravi K Chandran’s son Santhana Krishnan was roped in to replace Jomon. But latest update is that Santhana Krishnan has been replaced by Manoj Paramahamsa, who had previously worked with Gautham in Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya.

Gautham Menon’s own production house Ondraga Entertainment and Escape Artists Pictures are jointly producing this movie. The makers are yet to complete 30% of shoot. They will be hoping to wrap it up soon and enter post production works. The movie is slated to hit screens by the end of this year.
