Ondraga: Gautham Menon’s multistarrer to go on floors next year!
Gautham Menon is one of the very few filmmakers who works on multiple films at a time. He keeps juggling between his projects and sometimes shelves one in order to move on to another. For 2018, the director has got some big plans laid out. His pet project Dhruva Natchathiram starring Vikram will be his next release.
Dhruva Natchathiram is being planned as a trilogy. First part of this action packed spy-thriller will be releasing early next year. The director’s long pending Dhanush starrer Enai Noki Paayum Thotta still has 15 days of shoot left. The movie will be hitting screens three weeks after the release of Dhruva Natchathiram.
After the completion of both these films, the director will start works for his highly ambitious multilingual film. This much anticipated multistarrer titled as Ondraga will have leading stars from all the four south Indian industries.
Prithviraj Sukumaran, Puneeth Rajkumar, Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah Bhatia have already been confirmed for the movie. The makers are also in talks with Simbu, Arjun Reddy fame Vijay Deverakonda and Sai Dharam Tej. The movie is about a trip four buddies go on when they meet at a friend’s wedding after many years. Reportedly, the film is set in the US, Gautham Menon’s favorite shooting location.
Though there were reports about the project being shelved, sources close to the director has confirmed that the movie is definitely on and will go on floors next year. The project was supposed to take off earlier this year but it had to be postponed due to date issues of its lead actors.
An official announcement is expected to be made once the director finalizes his cast and crew members.
