Pranav Mohanlal gives more than what a director expects from him: Arun Gopy
After the smashing success of his debut film Aadhi, Pranav Mohanlal is now shooting for his next, Irupathiyonnaam Noottaandu. The movie is being written and directed by Arun Gopy of ‘Ramaleela’ fame. Fans and common audience are eagerly looking forward to the movie. Both Pranav and the director have started off their career with big hits, so they will be hoping to continue the good run.
In a recent interview to TOI, Arun Gopy opened up about how delighted he is to work with someone like Pranav, who is willing to put in extra efforts. Pranav plays the role of a surfer in this upcoming movie, and for that he undertook formal training in surfing for over a month before the shoot started. Earlier for Aadhi also he had trained in Parkour, a kind of acrobatic physical training.
Arun Gopy is impressed with the commitment shown by Pranav and says it makes his job as a director much easier. He is quoted saying, “It’s really easy to work with an actor like him because he goes above and beyond what a director expects from him. He is a complete director’s actor and he travels through the character based on the director’s vision. So, it makes the acting and directing process seamless.”
Irupathiyonnaam Noottaandu is said to be a travel based romantic flick. A newcomer has been signed to play Pranav’s romantic interest. Kalabhavan Shajon, Manoj K Jayan, Shaju Sreedhar, Dharmajan and Suresh Kumar will be seen in supporting roles. Its technical crew includes composer Gopi Sunder, cinematographer Abinandan Ramanjunam, action choreographer Peter Hein, editor Vivek Harshan, sound designer Renganaath Ravee and art director Joseph Nellickal.
