Pranav Mohanlal will be taking just one rupee as remuneration for his debut movie

Pranav Mohanlal’s entry to the Malayalam film industry was long awaited by the Malayali audience. Pranav kept away from the world of movies after making his presence felt with a State award winning performance as a child artist in Punarjani.

After 12 years, he returned back to cinema by assisting Jeethu Joseph in two of his films, Life Of Josutty and Papanasam. Then came the announcement that the whole industry were waiting for. Fittingly, it was Mohanlal who announced his son’s debut film as a lead actor which will be directed by Jeethu Joseph.

The makers planning to commence the movie’s shoot by July this year. Jeethu is currently in the final stages on scripting and will soon enter pre- production. Meanwhile, there are talks within the industry that Pranav is taking only a single rupee as remuneration for this film. It is worth a mention that the movie is produced by his father’s own production house Aashirvad Cinemas. Apparently, Pranav is taking only a single rupee as a mark of respect for his father.

Director Jeethu Joseph had informed that his upcoming movie with Pranav will be an action thriller on the lines his own superhit film Memories. Since a lot of action sequences are involved, Pranav has been undergoing training in Parkour, a form of physical training.

Parkour is a kind of acrobatic training that involves crossing obstacles by running, climbing, jumping, rolling and swinging. This form of action is used in many Hollywood movies as it makes stunts look very real. This Pranav Mohanlal starrer is yet to be titled. The movie will be made on budget of around 10 crores and it will be shot majorly outside Kerala.
