Prithvi Raj’s reply to the critics who criticized Ennu Ninte Moideen

Ennu Ninte Moideen which released on Saturday is getting thunderous applause from the audience and it has been already hailed one of the romantic classics ever made in Malayalam cinema history. The flick has been getting super rating from the common audience as well as critics and after Drishyam which released in 2013 directed by Jeethu Joseph and starred by Mohanlal, it is Ennu Ninte Moideen now getting 100% unanimous positive reviews from all over.

But still there will be some who criticizes anything and everything they see and Ennu Ninte Moideen is also not spared by them. The famous among that critics who criticized the film is MLA V T Balram as he is not happy with the politics the film deals with and also he accuses that the director and script writer RS Vimal does not took much care while picturizing the social atmosphere in which Moideen and Kanchana lived. There are many other as well who came with the argument that it does not fully gave us the life of Moideen and Kanchanamala. But actor Prithviraj who had played the male lead in this film as Moideen came out with a reply for all those critics in a popular news channel interview.

Prithviraj said that this only a film of 2.47 minutes length and it cannot be able to comprise the lives of two people fully in it. If you had to make the life of Moideen and Kanchanamala fully as a film then it will take more than 3-4 film at least to tell it. In that situation the film maker had to make a choice as to which incidents have to give priority in the film and on to which part of their life the focus must be on while making it a film. And the film before you is a result of that. They only wanted to bring out the immortal love story of Moideen and Kanchanamala before everyone and they succeeded in it. And they never intended to make their full life story in to a film.

Prithviraj said that each incidents shown in the film is actually happened in Moideen’s life and not a tiny bit has been created for cinematic purpose. Even though they made it a bit more dramatic as it is a cinema but never created anything artificially. He also opines that the social situation prevalent during that time is not portrayed wrongly but more than giving focus on that the film gave importance to Moideen and Kanchanamala’s love.
