Prithviraj fans, please don’t kill me after watching Naam Shabana: Taapsee Pannu

Bollywood movie Naam Shabana, directed by Shivam Nair is gearing up for release on March 31. Naam Shabana is a spin off from Taapsee’s character, Shabana Khan from Neeraj Pandey’s 2015 blockbuster action thriller Baby.

Mollywood star Prithviraj Sukumaran is playing Tony, the prime antagonist in the movie. The movie’s trailer revealed that Prithviraj is playing the character of Tony, one of the world’s most wanted criminals. Tapsee’s character Shabana Khan is apparently on a mission to put an end to him.

Naam Shabana is actually a prequel of Baby which will showcase how Taapsee’s character Shabana Khan becomes an undercover Indian agent. Baby director Neeraj Pandey has produced this spy thriller under the banner Friday Film Works. Manoj Bajpai and Danny Denzongpa are playing pivotal characters in the movie. Akshay Kumar and Anupam Kher will also be seen in cameo roles in this spy thriller.

Recently, producer Neeraj Pandey, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Taapsee Pannu and Manoj Bajpai were in Dubai as part of promotions for the movie. After the press meet Taapsee uploaded a photo of hers with Prithviraj in her Twitter account and added a caption,

For all the fans of my superstar antagonist @PrithviOfficial, I am one of you all so don’t kill me after watching #NaamShabana

Prithviraj later re-tweeted it and wrote, “If Tony can’t kill you, nobody can @tapsee

Is it an intentional move by Prithviraj to let us know how deadly his role Tony will be in Naam Shabana. We will have to wait till March 31 to know more. Though Prithvi had earlier acted in two other Hindi movies- Aiyyaa and Aurangazeb, both of them could not taste commercial success. So, he will be hoping to touch glory this time with Naam Shabana.

Taapsee had earlier underwent some intense training sessions to play the role of a national undercover agent. She learnt mixed martial arts and a bit of Japanese martial art Aikido for the movie.
