Prithviraj to play the lead in Sujith Vasudev’s directorial debut

The news is doing its round in many online pages that Young Superstar of Mollywood, Prithviraj is all set to play the male lead in the directorial debut of popular cinematographer, Sujith Vasudev. It has been reported by many online pages that the flick is titled as James and Alice and Prithviraj has been chosen to play one of the title character named James. Even though the news is not officially declared by Prithviraj, it looks like the news is going to be true as many sources reported from the industry suggesting the same.

The team behind the film is looking for a heroine to play the other title character of Alice and reports says that they had approached many popular south Indian actresses already for the film. The screenplay of the film will be written by famous director Dr. S Janardhanan who has directed films like Maha Samudram with Mohanlal and Sahasram with Suresh Gopi in the lead some years back. Sujith vasudev had written the story of James and Alice. The financers of the film is Dr. S Saji Kumar and Krishnan Sethu Kumar under their banner named Dharmik Films.

Other technical details and star cast of the film is not yet finalized and it will be updated soon with the official announcement from the team itself. Sujith Vasudev had worked with Prithviraj in many films as a cinematographer. They had worked together for the first time in the Lijo Jose Pellissery’s directorial film named City Of God. Then came the Jeethu Joseph directorial flick Memories and they worked together in last year’s super hit film by Shyam Dharman titled 7th Day as well. They have also completed the work in Amar Akbar Antony by Nadirsha and currently working on Sachi’s directorial debut named Anarkkali.

Sujith Vasudev’s popularity as a cinematographer had gone to a higher level with the gigantic success of Jeethu Joseph-Mohanlal film Drishyam and later he had the luck to work in Kamala Haasan starrer Papanasam , which is the Tamil version of Drishyam. Interestingly, Sujith had made his debut as a cinematographer in Mollywood through an Indrajith starrer named Chekavar and now he is working on his directorial debut with Indrajith’s younger brother Prithviraj.
