Prithviraj’s Vimaanam will be a special movie
Prithviraj is currently busy shooting for the second schedule of Vimaanam, which is directed by debutant Pradeep M Nair.
Apparently, the actor has pinned high expectations on this movie. Even when the movie was caught in several controversies after the plot’s similarity to Vineeth Sreenivasan’s Aby, Prithvi maintained a dignified silence but remained was confident about the project.
Vimaanam is inspired from the life of a hearing and speech impaired person Saji Thomas, who built an aircraft on his own. The movie is not a biopic on Saji’s life. It will be have a beautiful romantic track also. Newbie Durga Krishna is playing Prithviraj’s romantic interest in the movie.
The actor is playing the role of a deaf and mute person. He plays different stages of life of the film’s protagonist, who is a high school dropout. Since the film traverses through different stages, the actor will be shedding a few kilos to sport a distinct look. In addition to that, he will also take flying courses for playing the character. Prithviraj is very confident about the film and has put in his heart and soul for the project.
In an interview during the legal tussle with team Aby, Prithvi had said that he will go ahead with the movie as long as people associated with Vimaanam has complete conviction in the film, regardless of another film being made on a similar premise.
Vimaanam is being made on a big canvas involving a lot of VFX works for the flying scenes. Listin Stephen is producing the movie. Gopi Sunder will compose the music.
Nedumudi Venu, Lena, Aanandam fame Anarkali Marikar, Alencier Ley, Praveena, Sudheer Karamana, Saiju Kurup, Shanthi Krishna and many other prominent actors are also part of the cast.
