Sana Althaf, now this name is familiar to malayalees through last week release in Mollywood named Mariyam Mukku. Yes, Sana Althaf was the heroin of the film directed by James Albert and none other than Fahadh Faasil played the male lead opposite Sana. Even though the film had opened to negative reviews, Sana’s character Salomi has got great appreciation from the audience.

She is been very busy now, not because she has been flooded with offers from industry, it is because she is busy with her studies for the 10th standard exam that is coming in this march. Could you believe it..? You have to. Sana Althaf is a 10th standard student even she can’t believe her luck that she got a chance play Fahadh’s heroine in James Albert’s debut as a director. She had only one sad moment after the release of the film that she cannot be able to watch the film first day first show itself as she is busy with classes that day.

Sana said that she was very tensed when the shoot was started. But Fahadh Faasil helped her a lot in acting and also tried his best to make her feel comfortable. Everyone in the set was very helpful for her and they were really patient with her. She said that it was her role as Dulquer Salmaan’s sister in Lal Jose film Vikramadithayn that paved the way for her role in Mariyam Mukku. Recommendations from Sameera Saneesh and Lal Jose was instrumental in getting this opportunity. She told the media that she wants to continue with her studies and it will be her first preference. If the film had done well, then only she will think of spending some time to build a career in cinema. She said that she has been receiving good response from everywhere including family members and her friends.

She said that Mariyam Mukku is an entertainer with all the elements like action and comedy in it. She acted in the film without using much make-up as her role was that of a girls living in the coastal area. Sana Althaf is a native of Cochin and studying in Bhavans Ernakulam.
