Saranya Ponvannan shares her working experience with Tovino in Oru Kuprasidha Payyan
Tovino Thomas starrer ‘Oru Kuprasidha Payyan’ (OKP) is all set to to hit screens on November 9. The movie directed by Madhupal has high expectations among the cinephiles. It is mystery thriller centred around a murder investigation. Apart from the lead character played by Tovino, the movie has many other prominent characters and one of them is played by veteran Tamil actress Saranya Ponvannan.
Saranya, who is making her comeback to Malayalam after a long gap, plays the role of Tovino’s mother in the movie. Her character Chembammal is a Tamilian, which helped the actress to dub in her own voice. In a recent interview, Saranya opened up about her working experience in the movie. Just like the strong characters she is offered in Tamil cinema, the one in OKP also has enough scope for performance.
In the interview, Saranya was all praise for director Madhupal. She was amazed by how easily he got his actors to perform without any fuss whatsoever. And about working with Tovino, she said it was very comfortable and that helped her to relate easily to the character. Along with her, the movie also stars Nimsiha Sajayan, Anu Sithara, Lijomol Jose, Nedumudi Venu, Siddique, Dileesh Pothan, Sujith Sankar, Alencier Ley Lopez, Sudheer Karamana, Saiju Kurup and Balu Varghese.
Debutant Jeevan Job Thomas has scripted Oru Kuprasidha Payyan based on some real life incidents. The movie discusses about how a commoner can be wrongly framed in a criminal case and the loopholes in our legal system.
