Shane Nigam reveals that he was approached for Dangal director Nitesh Tiwari’s next
Shane Nigam is inarguably one of the most promising talents in Malayalam cinema at present. With the success of films like ‘Parava’, ‘Kumbalangi Nights’ and the more recent ‘Ishq’, Shane is slowly establishing himself as a bankable actor. He currently has a handful of promising films in his kitty.
In a recent interview, the youngster revealed that he was offered a role in a Bollywood film. Apparently, Shane was approached for ‘Dangal’ director Nitesh Tiwari’s next. The director is currently helming ‘Chhichhore’, rom-com drama starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor in the leads. The film is said to be a coming of age story about a group of batchmates who get to meet after years for a reunion.
Interestingly, Shane was offered the role of a Malayali student in the film. However, he was forced to opt out as his dates clashed with the shoot of ‘Kumbalangi Nights’. In the interview, Shane added that he doesn’t regret missing out as Nitesh Tiwari had promised him that they will collaborate for another project sometime in the future.
Shane Nigam is currently shooting for ‘Veyil’ directed by debutant Sarath Menon. He has Dimal Dennis’ ‘Valiya Perunnal’ and Shaji N Karun’s ‘Olu’ gearing up to hit screens. Another rom-com with debutant director Jeevan Jojo is also in the making.
