SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2 shoot wrapped up
The shoot for Indian cinema’s most celebrated movie Baahubali has finally been completed. The movie was made in two halves, with the first part – Baahubali : The Beginning releasing in 2014. The movie was a monumental success and is among the highest grossing Indian movies of all time. Second installment of the movie titled as Baahubali : The Conclusion is slated to release for April this year.
Baahubali stars Prabhas in the title role with Rana Daggubati playing the antagonist Bhallala Deva. Anushka Shetty, Ramya Krishnan, Tamannaah Bhatia, Sathyaraj and Nasser essay other pivotal characters.
Prabhas himself announced the news through a post in his official Facebook page.
The Shoot is over. It’s been 5 years since we started working on Baahubali. An amazing team, who are family to me now. Thank you Rajamouli garu, Shobu garu and Prasad garu for having me in this extraordinary project, Baahubali. I also thank all my lovely co-actors and the whole crew. I will cherish this experience forever.
And to all my fans, thank you for all the love and support all these years, this could not have been possible without all of you. Love you. Jai Maahishmathi.
Post production works for the movie is currently under progress. Director SS Rajamouli has earlier mentioned that the new movie will have more visual effects and CG works than what was seen in the first part.
Expectations are sky-high for the new movie after the blockbuster success of the first installment. This big budget movie is produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni under the banner Arka Works.
